LONG HORN NGUNI

  • It's a combiantion of a few ingredients that make this particular Nguni painting a favourite. At first you cant see him. In fact a retail shop that wanted to sell one, hung it the wrong way around until somone pointed it out to them (they confessed ;) Once you get it, you see his expression  and then you study the technique, the splashes the flicks and splats. The abstract and random drops of colour are meant to portray the random spots on a Nguni. None the same, each unique. Thats why there has never been a print of any of my paintings as I feel each Nguni, hummingbird or anything in nature has it's unique DNA and something each art collector holds dear. Individual taste.
